Additional Appearances and Events
The International Music and Arts Society!
The International Music and Arts Society (IMAS) held its Third Young Artists Competition in February 2015. Hundreds of talented musicians between the ages of 7-18 from three states (NJ, NY, CA, and Hong Kong) came out to participate in the competition. With a fantastic turnout and incredible talent, IMAS judges had a challenging time selecting its winners, but were able to select the most gifted students to showcase in the winners' concerts.
IMAS held two Winners' concerts this year at Carnegie Weill Recital and Lincoln Center's Frederick P Rose Hall in March 2015. Stay tuned for more details about the 2016 competition!

Blog Highlight: HOLA from Darien, Panama!!
Yes...I am in a tree house (except this is ACTUALLY home sweet home to the indigenous Embera tribe...cool, right?!). This past week was just absolutely AMAZING - We were able to provide sustainable solutions the local NGO Fundación Pro Niños de la Calle, I.A.P., connect the rural communities with alternative water filtration devices to access clean water, and help them with their fundraising strategies for maximum impact.
I am reminded every day of how lucky I am to live the life I live and have the family and friends I have. Life every day is so "busy" in the States, but here in Darien - I have taken a step back and gained an appreciation of the beauty that can be seen through life's simplicity. People here may not have access to the many opportunities or material possessions that we may be privy to, but they are some of the most happy and brilliant people I have met.
